Job Description

 Are you highly experienced and skilled in the telecom world of Call Detail Records (CDRs), usage Mediation & Rating, and Billing? Hargray is looking for a skilled professional to own all aspects of Mediation, Rating and Billing of voice usage, and non-voice usage, such Video-on-Demand (VOD) and Pay-Per-View (PPV). This role would be responsible for the end-of-end processes, from the switch to the billing system, ensuring we are collecting revenues for all billable usage. This includes toll fraud detection, records processing, and acting as our liaison with our Long Distance and Directory Assistance providers. This is an ideal position for a  professional with strong telecom background and experience as a Subject Matter Expert in this discipline.

 General Description of Position: Responsible for processing and supporting the usage, mediation and rating program within the Billing Operations team. Accountable for the accuracy of the bills ensuring billable and non-billable calls, Pay-Per-View and Video on Demand events are invoiced.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all usage feeds into and out of Mediation platform
  • Monitor and resolve unbilled toll usage
  • Monitor mediation processes to ensure files are being processed on a timely basis
  • Toll fraud monitoring and reporting
  • Long distance provider operations liaison
  • Manage Video on Demand (VOD) usage files, billing and reporting
  • Pay-per-view (PPV) event billing files and usage reporting
  • Manage 911 provisioning and billing including provision records and service notifications
  • Conduct bill Cycle MoM variance review & analysis
  • Correct material billing system errors
  • Participate in testing of new market roll-outs to ensure all Call, PPV and VOD usage is being capture and billed
  • Participate in special program/billing planning and implementation as needed
  • Address customer escalation, research issues, ensure follow through of corrections and communicates back to necessary parties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of handling and managing Call Detail Records
  • Knowledge of Call Usage Mediation and Rating systems
  • 7+ years of experience in similar role
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong computer skills; prior experience with OSS/BSS system required
