General Description of Position:

Dedicated accounting resource for all new market launches and acquisitions.  Development and maintenance of all Accounting & Finance process documentation and related best practices.  Perform accounting tasks related to the new markets, acquisition/integration activities, and the department financials.  Build a strong business partnership with the SI team so assist with all aspects of finance/accounting support, the generation of budgets and operational plans, and labor tracking.  Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.  Lead discussion with Strategic Initiatives team members to review results, determine root causes of variances and support in forecasting the current fiscal year.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting results to complete reclasses and accruals as needed to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Meet with Strategic Initiatives team members to discuss monthly results and variances in order to generate status updates and forecasts
  • Complete transition of vendors as needed at initial acquisition and code invoices while in the integration phase to align with actual results and operational plan
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for all Accounting & Finance tasks related to new markets and acquisitions, as well as the Strategic Initiatives department costs
  • Partner with Capital Accounting and other Strategic Initiatives team members to develop the Operational Plan and act as backup for monthly updates
  • Lead in mapping revenue and expense from an acquisition to company structure while in initial integration phase

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness and ability to operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communications and teamwork skills; must be able to effectively advise and interact with business leaders in other parts of the company
  • Strong data handling skills and attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Requires discretion regarding sensitive Company information
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 4 years-experience with GAAP accounting
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking; ability to identify issues, errors, and root cause problems in financial results
  • Project cost and fixed asset experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel knowledge such as pivot tables, V Lookups and indexing strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new systems; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
