General Description of Position:

A Special Projects Representative achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and market penetration by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Promotes, sells and/or secures orders from prospective or existing customers through a relationship-based approach. Provides customer service assistance to existing customers including retention efforts and discount/promotional management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains customer relationships with local property management, ownership, and local customers.
  • Identifies and qualifies opportunities.
  • Presents suite of products and services offered to potential and existing customers, leads negotiations, coordinates decision-making process, and overcomes objections to closure.
  • Focuses on customer touches (phone calls, e-mails, faxes and onsite visits that may require attendance after call centers normal hours of operation) to offer Hargray products to the customer and ensure customer satisfaction with products and service.
  • Maintains detailed records of communications, proposals, objections, and competitive information.
  • Researches, analyzes, resolves, and follows up on customer needs regarding services, credits, and billing in an expedient and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates a practical and efficient working knowledge of all Hargray products and services.
  • Coordinates service order activity associated with all job-implementation packages and other related details associated with implementation and service for all products marketed by the Sales Department as well as other departments within Hargray.
  • Communicates with other departments as needed to facilitate a smooth service installation of products sold.
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly, and professionally with customers, employees, supervisors and managers to establish and maintain considerate and cooperative relationships. Handles customer requests and communications by phone, e-mail, fax, mail and in person visits.
  • Keeps abreast of current industry trends and practices as they relate to customer service and makes appropriate recommendations to the S Special Projects Sales Support ManagerManager.
  • Uses Salesforce to record job performance and to achieve the goals of the Sales Department overall.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 



Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years sales experience.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed. 
  • Ability to document sales funnel activities.
  • Driver’s license with history of safe driving record.
