Job Description

Under the general supervision of the VP of Service, the Senior Consultants principle role is to provide business, technical and regulatory guidance to our clients. The chief component of strategic business road mapping is accomplished through the Managed Services vCIO role (IE: outsourced IT Director). The position focuses on the business relationship and leverages Hargray's technical resources for system design, successful project implementation and operational efficiency. Maintaining client satisfaction is a key goal and responsibility of the vCIO role. Additional consulting projects, including Assessments, are also led by the consultant.

Job Requirements


  • Develop and assessment of the current environment, annual strategic technology plan and work with Account Management to provide solution design for road mapping and budgeting.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports in regard to services provided and IT infrastructure health.
  • Provide a quarterly business review with clients in regards to IT plan and budget progress and their satisfaction with Hargray support.
  • Maintain communication with the Service Manager and NOC leads to be aware of issues and trends in regards to support.
  • Maintain communications with the Project Coordinator to be aware of project status.
  • Engage in communication and problem solving as escalation path in Managed Service and Professional Service delivery.
  • Conduct, plan and facilitate training sessions for clients as needed, including ongoing compliance/regulatory education.
  • Lead consulting projects, leveraging other technical resources as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Knowledge and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep technical knowledge in: server/workstation, networking (switch/route/wireless), telephony and other systems
  • A Bachelors of Science in Information Technology is preferred
  • Eight years job related experience in information technology and systems
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft (primarily) and other operating systems
  • Working business technology knowledge including: IT operations, security and regulatory compliance, and business finance
