The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for end to end sales process, business leader for the CRM system, all reporting and analytics of the sales process and overall sales enablement and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include travel to all markets regularly to train/develop market executives and sales teams on Salesforce (SFDC), tools, and efficiency. The ideal candidate for the Sales Operations Manager will lead collaboration across IT, finance, marketing and other groups to drive improvements in engagement and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following.

  • Act as the point of contact for the sales operations team.
  • Responsible for all sales analytics and reporting for sales activity, sales funnel and results.
  • Define quarterly objectives and drive the team to hit key milestones to increase acquisition and activation.
  • Manage, develop and distribute daily dashboards showing activity, sales.
  • Provide recommendations and take actions based on strategic objectives, forecast or performance metrics.
  • Compile and deliver daily sales report of MTD actuals, forecast and variance.
  • Compile and deliver monthly stack rankings report for sales results and key sales activities.
  • Administrate market revenue growth to sales production for incremental market revenue growth.
  • Administrate sales productivity tools and processes to maximize efficiency of sales professionals’ time.
  • Track and administrate success of leads generated from marketing campaigns and events.
  • Compile and deliver performance results used for performance management to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Administrate commission inquiries and compensation plan discrepancies.
  • Assist with the creation and management of sales collateral to ensure consistency and content uniformity.
  • Administrate rep and manager training and development plans.
  • Assist Market Executives with “Go to Market” data to support strategy and execution.
  • Implement tracking and reporting on promotions and campaigns with marketing and market executives.
  • Business owner for SFDC and other sales tools.
  • Work with IT on development and integration to improve sales efficiency.
  • Develop automation tools like outbound emails, task development, past due opportunities, etc. to enable sales teams.
  • Process and train on SFDC best practices for Hargray.
  • Develop structured Hargray sales process with sales leadership.
  • Document steps and requirements within SFDC for each phase of sales process with references and job aids.
  • Identify and eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to improve the funnel performance for sales management.
  • Produce and review actionable and accurate sales reporting and business insight tools for reps, managers, and sales leaders.
  • Coordinate development of lead lists and campaigns for sales teams loaded in SFDC with corresponding mapping and tools.
  • Work with Business Development and Marketing to obtain prospects and lead lists.
  • Implementing prospect lists into SFDC as leads for each sales person with step-by-step approach to review each request.
  • Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory management, and help create a plan to enhance renewal and upsell processes.
  • Implement mapping and other tools to enable sales to focus efforts on near net prospects.
  • Support sales spiff programs by updating performance, reporting, and communications to participants to drive success.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations and/or business systems preferably in a software/technology.
  • Experience building and/or managing a sales operations team.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales ops, business ops, or similar role.
  • Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure local execution and business impact.
  • Analytical and demonstrated ability to extract key business insights through data analysis.
  • Proven Salesforce subject matter expert with experience creating reports, optimizing processes, training new hires, managing dashboards, and more.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment,
  • Track record in driving change and removing hurdles in fast growth organizations by working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance and IT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to C-level executives.
  • Agile, self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with visual analysis applications and sales intelligence software.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a strong understanding of Salesforce, other CRM applications, and email marketing strategies.
