General Description of Position:

The Sales Administrator is responsible for supporting the outside sales team by delivering excellence to new Hargray Fiber commercial customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales agreements, quotes and related documents with high degree of technical accuracy.
  • Take accountability for order processing from quote creation to order acceptance.
  • Demonstrate a helpful and positive attitude toward customers and colleagues.
  • Connect with customers to gather and confirm the details needed for successful service installation.
  • Facilitate clear lines of communication between customers, sales, and delivery team colleagues.
  • Proactively engage in training to enhance product and process knowledge for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, sales engineering, and other teams to develop process efficiencies
  • Make effective use of internal CRM systems to keep all sales activity updated in real time.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis; capture and report to sales leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as to ensure effective operation of the Sales Operations Department.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree, or equivalent experience in sales, sales support, or customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Minimum of 3 years telecommunications industry experience.
  • Strong computer, communication (written and verbal), problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers and have good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member on projects of moderate to broad scope.
  • Must be well organized and understand process documentation and flow charts.
  • Must have strong Service Order entry and processing skills.
  • Adept with sales CRM; Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
  • Experience with Order Entry and/or Provisioning and Customer Relationship Management systems required.
  • Experience with Service Provider interfaces such as AT&T’s LEX, Level 3’s portal preferred.
  • Must understand the fundamentals of local number portability, 911 service delivery, long distance, toll free services, DSL and High Speed Data.
  • Strong understanding of all business products including Metro-E, Symmetrical High Speed Data (SHSD), DBN, Data Circuits (ISD, T1, PRI), Static IP Addresses, Colocation, Resale Elements, LNP and Asymmetrical High Speed Data (AHSD).
