The Residential Territory Sales Representative secures new revenue, ensures customer retention and maximizes customer satisfaction within an assigned territory of residential customers and prospects by proactively communicating with customers and key influencers in-person using a relationship-based approach.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following.

  • Build and maintain customer relationships with local property managers and local residential customers.
  • Consistently meet and exceed established sales and revenue goals. Independently establish and organize daily sales activities. Implement effective sales closing techniques to ensure product installation goal is achieved.
  • Generate business through established and approved creative methods of lead generation - conducting door-to-door sweeps/presentations, by appointments/referrals, and/or by approved on-site events.
  • Conduct quality face to face in-home sales presentations to new Hargray customers.
  • Identify customer needs, wants, and desires in conversation and match with company products and diplomatically handle interactions with potential customers.
  • Reconcile daily sales orders with install reports and keep documentation of sales orders.
  • Attend sales meetings in person and training sessions as directed by management.
  • Work independently to promote the sales of Hargray residential products and services.
  • Effectively communicate to property managers and local residential customers. Develop relationships that show the benefit and professionalism of Hargray.
  • Arrange date/time for complex installs at customers' convenience in order to ensure proper installation of all product lines, video, HSD and Phone with zero error rate.
  • Handle post-installation follow-up with customers. Establish contact with customers regarding service disconnections and changes.
  • Resolve or serve as intermediary to resolve service issues with assigned customers.
  • Evaluate customer’s existing and potential product needs and make appropriate recommendations related to features, benefits, product differences, pricing, and campaigns.
  • Develop partnership with internal departments (e.g. customer service, technical operations) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain focus on customer touches (phone calls, e-mails, faxes and onsite visits that may require attendance after call centers normal hours of operation) to offer Hargray products to the customer and ensure customer satisfaction with products and service.
  • Manage a monthly portfolio of prospects, managing your time and route to maximize face to face interactions.

 

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

  • A minimum of one year of proven sales experience; or 2 years of college; or equivalent combination of sales experience and college education.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Computer and basic software skills.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain proper appearance/attitude at all times to represent Hargray in the community.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds for 20-30 feet (digital boxes, modems, etc.).
  • Knowledge of basic cable or telecommunications services with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to maintain favorable relations with customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
