Hargray Fiber is currently seeking a Project Manager to support the growth and rapidly expanding customer base. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, executing and evaluating of projects. The Project Manager will assist in building and managing aspects or subsets of projects and ensuring quality control, timelines and revenue goals are met throughout project life cycles and are central to this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects of various sizes and quantities in accordance with the direction of the Manager.
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly, professionally, and relays necessary information to immediate supervisor/manager or colleagues & customers.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Creative troubleshooting and problem solving skills and able to make quick decisions.
  • Must be well organized and systematic in working.
  • Be accountable for assigned project tasks and related results as assigned by Manager.
  • Prepares reports, analytics and makes presentations.
  • Thorough understanding of the technical and financial requirements.
  • Be constantly mindful of project scope by ensuring that any changes to scope/assumptions are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager so that they can be considered and handled in accordance to the PMO standard practices.
  • Track and report on assigned project milestones and provide status updates to the Manager on a regular basis so that he/she is apprised of all aspects of the project and so that the updates will be reflected in the weekly status updates.
  • Ensure that all project documents are archived throughout and after project.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operations for the company.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in project management, leadership or related field.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium scale projects or initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to changes in direction and priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), leadership, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from other departments and experience working with Operations and Engineering personnel to meet aggressive goals.
  • Must be well organized and understand process documentation and flow charts.
  • Familiarity in Telecommunications and/or Service Delivery enviornments.
