Job Description

The Marketing/Event Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of all community events of Hargray. This position develops sponsorship/trade/business arrangements and relationships with businesses, individuals and organizations we support within the community. This position will work in coordination on other projects as assigned and serves as administrative support for the department.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and oversee special/business events to include Business Expo, Heritage Golf Skybox, Golf Outings, Technology Showcases, Concours d’Elegance, Beaufort Water Festival, Corporate events, etc.   
  • Assist with EMA community events to include ordering of food, pick up and assistance at the event.
  • Assist miscellaneous departments with their special events throughout the year 
  • Determine community sponsorships and executive payment, advertising, and involvement
  • Draft communications to internal and external contacts before, during, and after events and company milestones 
  • Process all marketing invoices working closely with the accounting department to ensure accuracy
  • Create and Maintain budget spreadsheet for annual marketing & community relations budget
  • Create and Maintain budget spending for special projects
  • Assist with special corporate projects (i.e. Retail store re-do’s, corporate lobby upgrade, corporate lobby customer services center re-do) ceremonies and attending board meetings 
  • Manage inventory, budgets, and fulfillment of company apparel and event swag for corporate/sales/retail staff
  • Provide admin assistance to the department such as ordering misc. letterhead/envelopes and thank you cards, creating and ordering of staff business cards and name badges, and order misc. office supplies as needed. 
  • Arrange maintenance Cutter blade sharpening and machine maintenance


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in a related field or a minimum of 2 years marketing or communications experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers and possess exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be well organized and understand process documentation and flow charts
  • Computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Problem-solving, and project management skills are a plus
