General Description of Position:

The Technical Operations Manager will be the primary interface between various staff functions, business units or business partners, working with moderate to overly complex business partners and programs. This position will lead the creation of proposed solutions; research and analysis; establishing metrics; recommending solution design and feasibility; and effecting change to ensure ongoing process improvement and refinement of assigned programs. This position will also be responsible for facilitating, prioritizing, and communicating functional and technical requirements of go to market strategies to internal and external partners. The role requires an in-depth understanding of the technology, disciplines associated with program development, as well as an understanding of the tools and vendors in the marketplace. The Program Leader will work closely with executive leadership on operational and business transformation projects and programs, initiatives and strategic imperatives necessary to support the business and its ability to execute by implementing plans, analysis and roadmaps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation of end to end proposed solutions; research and analysis; establishing metrics; recommending solution design and feasibility; and effecting change to ensure ongoing process improvement and refinement of assigned programs/services.
  • Organize and lead moderate to complex operations projects to a conclusion. Projects are in the area of vendor onboarding, billing (invoicing and POD) processes, provisioning, sales operational processes, system capabilities (including how various portals connect with one another), usage reporting, reoccurring billing and certification processes if/when necessary.
  • Responsible for creation of standard procedural and operations business processes including preparing roadmaps, operational process documentation and communication of changes.
  • Lead process improvement and process automation initiatives.
  • Operational lead to vendors (external) and vendor management/operations/sales (internal) for new vendor and/or offerings to be on boarded.
  • Communicate project status to multiple levels of multiple organizations on a regular basis (internal teams and external vendor/customer contacts).
  • Manage cross functional activities across multilevel groups within the organization and external.
  • Act as a liaison between vendor contacts and internal key stakeholders to understand vendor’s requirements, expectations and develop the plan to implement appropriate operational processes.
  • Assess results relative to the original expectations and propose business processes and standards to effectively onboard and manage vendor’s requirements.
  • Organize vendor and Hargray’s data from several sources into an actionable format consistent with the overall project objectives.
  • Analyze the data to understand risks and opportunities. Summarize the findings of the analysis to support the assumptions and/or conclusions developed.
  • Ensure that the recommendations, process design changes, and systems specifications are complete; represent the worst, best, and most likely case scenarios; support the goals of the project; and are executable. Maintain project status throughout the project with regular updates relative to the plan and expectations.
  • Ensure that the project meets its commitments or that expectations are changed through regular communication.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred, not required)
  • Experience in deploying Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • At least 8 years or more years of corporate continuous improvement implementation experience
  • Strong knowledge of cloud business model
  • Broad capability building in continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated program management acumen within all phases of a program
  • Strong financial and analytical ability
  • Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum outputs and results
  • Proven track record of successful change management and accomplishments implementing productivity and cost return programs
  • Demonstrated success in working with leadership across the enterprise to bring positive behavioral change
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex operational/technical topics to all levels of the organization
