General Description of Position:


Responsible for overseeing recruiting, hiring, employment brand, website/applicant tracking, coaching/discipline, terminations and special projects.  Directly manages a team to ensure effective execution of areas of responsibility.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the following activities related to staffing management – recruiting and hiring; staffing needs related to internships and contract/temporary labor; coaching and discipline; company policies.
  • Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company.
  • Develop programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, and issues.
  • Provide advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline.
  • Represents the company in termination meetings with employees and manages exit interview program to determine reasons behind separation; reports findings to management.
  • Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures.
  • Consults with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
  • Provides expertise in strategy development and execution, planning, and facilitation of recruitment and hiring.
  • Provides expertise in strategy development and execution, planning, and facilitation of employment branding and web/Company website presence.
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management. Guides managers and employees on problem-solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors’ Degree in related field
  • 5 plus years’ experience in Human Resources with increasing scope of responsibility
  • 2 plus years’ management experience
  • Broad knowledge and experience in staffing management, compliance, employment law, employee relations, benefits, and compensation
  • Experience analyzing complex data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sound interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Experience in ADP suite a plus
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement
