General Description of Position:

Under general supervision, performs continuous care and maintenance of all company owned and leased property and buildings according to a predetermined schedule. Responsible for performing moderate level of care and maintenance of all facilities to include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, major appliances and lawn care. Works closely with all outside contractors and other departments within the company to achieve efficient, cost effective daily operation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs minor repairs (including plumbing, electrical, landscape, hardscape and mechanical).
  • Oversees work of external contractors and reports progress and deficiencies to the Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Contacts vendors as needed or works with Facilities Coordinator to procure parts, equipment or schedule repairs.
  • Performs regular walk-through inspections of all company owned buildings and tracks repair and maintenance issues.
  • Maintains indoor and outdoor lighting for all buildings. Sets and maintains all time clocks.
  • Works with recycling company to dispose of all recyclable office materials.
  • Serves as back-up for cleaning contractor in emergencies (i.e., carpet cleaning and water extraction), as well as garbage collection.
  • Fulfills employee requests, which may include moving materials, installing keyboard trays, furniture assembly and hanging artwork, dry erase boards, televisions, etc.
  • Pressure washes exterior of buildings as needed.
  • Performs office configurations as required to support new hires and personnel moves.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of the company.
  • Communicates well with all department members and practices positive exchange of control.

 

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a clear, straight-forward and professional manner.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to local and federal regulations and company guidelines.
  • Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, electric drills.
  • Experience with building and grounds maintenance.
  • Must possess basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving record.
