In this role, you will ensure that security patches are applied according to existing procedures. Provide analysis and remediation of cyber events by utilizing monitoring dashboards as well as industry knowledge. Provide accurate and efficient technical support, installation, implementation, maintenance, and training service to users. Provides prompt and efficient user assistance and problem resolution using accurate and clear communications and applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and application software. 


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Analyze security events from various sources and determine if it qualifies as a legitimate security incident.
  • Respond to and drive remediation of critical incidents which may include remediation.
  • Initiate escalation procedures to counteract potential threats/vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing with team members.
  • Identify, document, and recommend new or revised processes and policies.
  • Perform incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident.
  • Assist, and/or perform, threat intelligence assessments. This may include providing reporting on assessment results as well as risk mitigation and remediation recommendations and plans.
  • Keep current with emerging security trends, issues, and alerts.
  • Communicate known security risks to management in order to mitigate risks.
  • Review, analyze and respond to security events.
  • Validate and track security threats.
  • Coordinate responses to information security incidents. Assist with the recommendation and coordination of security fixes and security patches.
  • Provides first tier support to PC users on multiple platforms and operating systems.
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly and professionally with managers, supervisors, and employees to establish and maintain considerate and cooperative relationships.
  • Installs, configures, diagnoses, and corrects problems for computers, workstations and services, peripheral equipment, network equipment, and associated cabling.
  • Notifies supervisor of errors or equipment malfunction, reports damaged computers and peripheral equipment to the manufacturer, verifies repairs.
  • Investigates and resolves users’ computer software and hardware problems in an efficient and expedient manner; researches procedures followed and source of error; determines whether the problem is caused by hardware, such as modem, printer, cables or telephone.
  • Answers operational questions clearly and succinctly, and resolves problems, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. in the course of normal duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • College degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years’ experience troubleshooting and remediating security events.
  • 3 years’ experience working with vulnerability management tools.
  • 3 years’ experience working with Anti-Virus platforms.
  • 3 years’ experience with the installation, configuration, and support of PC’s, servers and peripheral equipment.
  • Familiar with current versions of Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry 60 pounds in the course of normal duties.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license with the history of safe driving record
