General Description of Position: The Field Engineering Supervisor oversees and supports the implementation of Field Services Network Administrators. Supervises a team of network administrators that are responsible for the implementation of technical systems, software, hardware or solutions. Being a Network Administrator Supervisor may involve pre-sales product demonstrations or provide assistance in scoping projects or developing proposals. Reviews external clients product demands, dispatches field services ensures that implementations and service requests are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the Field Network Administrator team and provides feedback on performance.
  • Ensures customer service is timely and accurate on a daily basis.
  • Trains and supports team representatives and technicians.
  • Contributes to improving customer support by actively responding to queries and handling complaints.
  • Enforces best practices through the entire technical support process.
  • Follows up with customers to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develops reports on team’s productivity.
  • Provides customer feedback to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise regarding the latest technologies and industry best practices.
  • Supervise during service request life cycle any staff, or any sub-contracted personnel assigned to your team.
  • Supervise and mentor all staff working on other projects under your area of responsibility.
  • Provide leadership to individuals on team(s) through coaching, feedback, development goals, and performance management.
  • Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and firing for the department.
  • Present a professional image in conduct, attitude and attire.
  • Assist with the development of client information management standards and evaluation of technology trends.
  • Contribute to business area assessment, user needs analysis and business systems design.
  • Assist with comprehensive cost/benefit analysis and preparation of business cases for new projects.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management Tools (RMM).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects as well as leading departmental initiatives.
  • 5 or more years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Cloud Platforms, Domain environments
  • 3 or more years’ experience working in a VMware environment.
  • 3 or more years’ experience installing switching/routing equipment.
  • Knowledge of various technologies, including networking, hardware, software, peripherals, network applications, and security.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and administering a broad range of technologies.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting skills and logical problem solving. 
  • High-level problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management and follow up skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong background in SLA management
