Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key Hargray Fiber personnel; primarily in GA, outside contractors and other relevant departments within the company to achieve efficient, cost effective daily facility operations.
  • Supervise the coordination of Hargray Fiber building space allocation and layout, facility expansion and maintenance.
  • Prepare project plans for and supervise all facility construction projects, renovations, modifications, expansions and associated outfitting of new facilities for Hargray Fiber locations.
  • Plan and schedule all relevant facility modifications, including cost estimates and perform audits to support facility planning.
  • Orchestrate communications with all relevant departments and parties for construction or renovation projects.
  • Prepare proposed capital budgets and manage final budgets for facility construction, renovation and expansion projects related to Hargray Fiber growth.
  • Inspect installation and construction progress on all projects and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Solicit quotes with outside contractors for repairs and maintenance, monitor workmanship to ensure required quality and timeline deliverables are met
  • Maintain records/reports and files as required.
  • Work to ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, DHEC and other facility safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of the Facilities department across Hargray Fiber markets.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in facility management or at least 5 years related field or relevant experience.
  • Ability to evaluate the safety of different work environments and ensure company compliance with applicable regulations.
  • General knowledge of OSHA standards regarding workplace safety.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general construction and other basic facility needs.
  • Ability to inspect, evaluate and troubleshoot facilities issues.
  • Ability to appropriately task team members to handle repairs and maintenance and/or outsource to appropriate vendors.
  • Ability to research, initiate and contract vendors as needed.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal and organization communication skills.
  • Capital budget management experience.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,etc.).
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to work various schedules to include extended hours/weekends.
  • Must be very organized and self-motivated.
  • Must have project management experience.
