General Description of Position:

Responsible for leading all aspects of Company’s distribution functions. Under the supervision of the Distribution Center Manager, the Distribution Center Team Lead is accountable for a safe, efficient, accurate, and timely Distribution Center (DC) operations. These operations include receiving, storage, order processing, shipping, inventory management, and QC lab management. The applicant will be held accountable for scheduling the appropriate staff, monitoring their progress, and maintaining accurate inventory at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures DC activities are intensely focused on, while providing internal customers with exceptional service.
  • Ensure orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate employees and locations.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy to meet company objectives within Standard Operating Procedures and cycle counting guidelines.
  • Setting and modifying materials management procedures, improving efficiency, and ensuring consistency among distribution locations.
  • Creates and provides reports as required.
  • Maintains DC in a clean and orderly manner while ensuring optimization and safety remain priority.
  • Provides training and assistance for new employees and participates in cross training with other departments.
  • Assists in supervising an efficient workflow of customer premise equipment recovery, testing, and redeployment. 
  • Assists in supervising the equipment repair process, including RMA’s, shipping, tracking, and inventory verification. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Distribution Center Manager.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift certification is required (Forklift certification trainer is a plus).
  • Must possess basic knowledge of personal computers (Microsoft Excel is a plus).
  • Ability to lift and hand supplies and equipment ranging from 50 – 75 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers.
  • Detail oriented with a desire to improve work related processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems is a plus.
  • Experience with 6-S program a plus.
