General Description of Position:

Responsible for supervising all aspects of Company’s distribution functions in our South Carolina markets. Under the supervision of the Distribution Center Manager, the Distribution Center Supervisor is accountable for a safe, efficient, accurate, and timely Distribution Center (DC) operations. These operations include receiving, storage, order processing, shipping, inventory management, assisting in budgeting, QC lab management and DC facilities management. The applicant will be held accountable for scheduling the appropriate staff, monitoring their progress, and maintaining accurate inventory at all times.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensures DC activities are intensely focused on, while providing internal customers with exceptional service
  • Ensure orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate employees and locations
  • Maintains inventory accuracy to meet company objectives within Standard Operating Procedures and cycle counting guidelines
  • Setting and modifying materials management procedures, improving efficiency, and ensuring consistency among distribution locations
  • Creates and provides reports as required
  • Maintains DC in a clean and orderly manner while ensuring optimization and safety remain priority
  • Supervise employees’ schedules and workload, setting standards for performance, and ensuring compliance with company policy
  • Provides training and assistance for new employees and participates in cross training with other departments
  • Establishing QC lab processes and practices
  • Deliver performance reviews and other feedback to help develop employees
  • Supervise efficient workflow of customer premise equipment recovery, testing, and redeployment
  • Supervise the equipment repair process, including RMA’s, shipping, tracking, and inventory verification
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Osha Forklift Trainer Certification
  • 5-7 years of experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers.
  • Detail oriented with a desire to improve work related processes.
  • Must be able to work various hours as required.
  • Must be able to travel and spend short times away, sometimes overnight from base location
  • Experience with 6-S program a plus
