Job Description

General Description:

Verifies and maintains records of inventory, incoming and outgoing shipments, delivers equipment to designated locations as required, and prepares items per customer request and requirements. Provisions, downgrades/upgrades Set Top Boxes through the DNCS. Proficient in Epicor, HES, and Procurement.    

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Completes necessary paperwork for ordering, shipping, receipt of and issuing all materials, including but not limited to tools and supplies used by Plant and Maintenance departments.
  • Verifies actual deliveries received against bills of lading, invoices, packing slips, purchase order or other records from all suppliers, including but not limited to those shipped via FedEx, Airborne, UPS, DHL and other carriers. Returns or rejects damaged items, records shortages and notifies purchasing of the discrepancy.
  • Operates forklift, or hand truck to move, convey, hoist, or deliver shipments from shipping-and-receiving area to storage, work, or department areas.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy to meet company objectives within Standard Operating Procedures and cycle counting guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining sufficient inventory of materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Sweeps, dusts, or mops the distribution center as needed or requested.
  • Refers employee and customer complaints and/or problems to supervisor.
  • Creates and provides reports as required by the Supervisor.
  • Responsible for video set top box testing and provisioning.
  • Responsible for downgrading/upgrading set top box software through the DNCS.
  • Assists field operations with troubleshooting customer premise equipment issues.
  • Provides additional technical support for other internal organizations.
  • Responsible for creating and shipping RMA’s back to the vendor(s) and maintaining RMA records on Microsoft Excel.
  • Processes returned equipment returned from field for damage, functionality, and refurbishes to fulfill supply demands.
  • Assists other departments as needed with project inventory and delivering needed equipment to necessary service areas.  
  • Fulfills self-install service orders and trouble tickets through HES.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to by the Supervisor to ensure effective operation of the department and the Company.    

 

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems (Epicor, HES, and Procurement is a plus)
  • Must possess basic knowledge of personal computers and peripheral equipment (Microsoft Excel is a plus)
  • Ability to lift and handle supplies and equipment ranging from 50 -75 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers.
  • Detail oriented with desire to improve work related processes
  • Must possess valid South Carolina driver’s license with a history of safe driving record.
