Job Description

Responsible for managing and directing the activities of the Carrier/Wholesale sales channel to include carrier sales, support and sales engineering.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Handle new sales quotes, including formulating contracts, quotations and pricing, product research, customer relations, follow-up, coordinating due dates, placing service orders, managing and communicating test and turn up of circuits, etc.
  • Identify wholesale opportunities outside of company's current markets including developing a process to ensure we are assessing any and all RFPs issued for carrier/wholesale services in our service area.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transport engineers from various carriers.
  • Design and create customer network configurations that satisfy the customer requests.
  • Responsible for working with other departments within Hargray to ensure timely responses to requests, accurate orders, and successful service delivery.
  • Responsible for budgeting and reporting all aspects of revenue and expense associated with Hargray’s carrier/wholesale business.
  • Handle a wide variety of customer support, including resolving billing issues, managing customer inquiries, customer turn-up, and general customer satisfaction and relations.
  • Lead, identify and manage internal communications needs, disseminate information regarding relevant activities and obtain appropriate corporate approvals.
  • Work with sales management, product management, IT, regulatory, corporate marketing, and other inter-departmental stakeholders, by managing resources and timeframes required to complete and recommend customer solutions, requirements, pricing, and implementation.
  • Supervise and ensure the accuracy of the order entry process.  Define, modify, and implement processes necessary to improve Hargray's ability to meet carrier customer expectations and internal requirements for installation and billing timeliness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Ensure effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of Company.

 

Job Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Possess technical, financial, and organizational skills required to respond to RFPs and other technical requests from carrier customers
  • Strong relationship building sales skills and business acumen required including responsiveness and technical understanding of customers’ present and future needs
  • Minimum 5 years of telecommunications carrier/wholesale sales required.
  • Telecommunications industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer relations skills, presentable, professional, particularly with in-person customer interaction.
