General Description of Position:

Reporting to the Business Support Center Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, executing and evaluating of all CapEx projects including overbuilds, strategic and those approved via the business case process. PM will work according to predetermined timelines and budgets, while utilizing the approved methods and procedures of the Commercial Sales and Operations. Assisting in building and managing aspects or subsets of projects and ensuring quality control throughout project life cycles are central to this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage aspects of project development.
  • Resolves customer complaints of service that are processed by phone and email.
  • Facilitates the processing, and scheduling of trouble call assignments as needed.
  • Enters data required for accurate customer records.
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly, professionally, and relays necessary information to immediate supervisor/manager.
  • Assists with the demands required during moments of increased workloads.
  • Responsible for assigned project tasks and related results.
  • Support completion of project charter, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.
  • Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
  • Provide updates on project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and to identify risks to schedule, scope or budget.
  • Clearly communicate updates as they relate to the project.
  • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle as it pertains to your assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Manage project scope by ensuring that any changes to scope/assumptions are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager so that they can be considered and handled in accordance to the PMO standard practices.
  • Track and report on assigned project milestones and provide status updates on a regular basis so that he/she is apprised of all aspects of the project and so that the updates will be reflected in the weekly status updates.
  • Contribute to determination of how results will be measured and assist in completion of a post-project evaluation.
  • Utilize tools and best practices as set forth by the PMO for project management and execution (i.e. project charter, project plan, issues log, weekly status templates, etc.)
  • Act as key leader on large project initiatives, working sessions and regular meetings. be responsible for keeping time and attendance so that Manager can focus on facilitation of session.
  • Ensure that all project documents are archived throughout and after project.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years’ work experience in project management or related field.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium scale projects or initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to changes in direction and priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from other departments.
