The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for consultative selling the full suite of DCMS services to include, but not limited to, IT managed services, backup & continuity services, Office 365, hosted services, network design & product sales. This position will target existing Hargray customers that are not DCMS customers as well as prospective customers not currently doing business with Hargray.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following.

  • Demonstrates a strong technical knowledge and understanding of all of the business products and services sold by Hargray DCMS.  Engages technical contacts at prospective customer locations to review IT needs related to customer’s internal network, telephony, & data security.
  • Utilizes a consultative approach to develop trusted relationships with regard to a 360-degree view of customers’ unified data and communications requirements.
  • Demonstrates a passion to overcome objections, internal and external, to provide unexpected solutions to customers’ needs.
  • Prospects for leads, referrals, and business via outbound phone calls to businesses in the Hargray footprint.  Thoroughly qualifies needs to identify customer pain points in order to develop and articulate the appropriate Hargray DCMS solution(s).
  • Enters all sales activity into ConnectWise, CRM system on a daily basis including notes related to discussions and/or emails with prospects and customers. Accurately updates ConnectWise opportunities daily to show the status of potential sales including monthly recurring revenue, probability, products/services, and anticipated close dates.
  • Utilizes the current CRM solution to manage opportunities and update them based on inside and outside sales feedback as necessary.
  • Engages Sales Support and Engineering and sets appointments to follow through with the consultative approach.
  • Meets individual, department, and the company established goals and metrics.
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly, and professionally with internal and external customers to establish and maintain congenial and collegial behavior along with the desired Hargray core competencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 - 7 years’ sales or account management experience; business sales experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
  • Ability to use own vehicle for company use
