Job Description

  • Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Oversee 2-3 direct reports in area of responsibility
  • Enhance month-end close process identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Lead monthly variance analysis for expense to ensure timely and accurate close according to deadlines set
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Manage and complete complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage day to day duties in areas of Accounts Payable and Expense Accounting partnering the team with capital to ensure a smooth process and effective communication
  • Must be able to identify problems and come up with solutions
  • Oversee Financial Analyst duties
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure they have visibility to cost in their area
  • Review the work of direct reports
  • Mentor the team for development opportunities
  • Take lead in facilitating assigned area of annual audit; work with accountants to prepare and review schedules as required according to deadlines set.
  • Hire, train, and manage support staff; manage schedules and workflow to meet Company’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage special projects as required


Job Requirements

  • Capable leader with willingness and ability to set objectives and goals and hold self and others accountable
  • Willingness and ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment with high energy level and tolerance to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communications and teamwork skills; must be able to effectively interact with business leaders in other parts of the company and become a trusted partner
  • Proven management skills with the ability to develop employees
  • Desire and capacity to lead the department and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
  • Technically strong with an aptitude for financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA a Plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a Plus
  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience with demonstrated career progression
  • Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications
  • Telecommunications experience a plus
  • Excellent excel and data base skills
